Ohio climate

Ohio may not top the list for solar irradiance, but thanks to the hardworking people at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), we have a pretty good idea of how much sunlight different areas of the state get since 1977. An average Ohio day gets the equivalent to 4.2 sun hours. Our designers use advanced software that projects the suns path through the sky for every day of the year to give a conservative estimate of an arrays production. Using this we can tailor a system to meet your needs.

New Technology

Solar technology continues to improve the outlook for affordable clean energy in our state. Solar modules are more efficient than ever before, climbing from 180 watt outputs to 500 in the last ten years. Paired with lower costs this means shorter payback periods and higher returns for Ohioans than were previously possible.

Ohio Incentives

Ohio is a solar friendly state. Net metering allows surplus production to be credited at a 1:1 retail rate for 125% of usage. For rural agricultural related businesses, REAP grants can cut costs by 25%. Pair that with a 26% tax credit to cut costs in half.
